DeckMorph ("we", "us") takes a slide image and turns it into editable Google Slides objects. This page is the straight version: what leaves our servers, what doesn't, how long we hang onto anything, and how to make us delete it. We grab only what we need to run the thing.
1. What leaves our servers (and what doesn't)
the only content that leaves our servers today
- To identify fonts, the slide image you submit is sent to Google's Gemini model (via the OpenRouter API).
- When an icon cutout needs cleanup, individual cropped icon images may be sent to Gemini's image model.
That is the only content that leaves our servers.
self-hosted, never sent anywhere
- Text recognition (OCR) runs on our own servers.
- Background and icon cutout runs on our own GPU service.
- The entire layout and fitting pipeline runs on our infrastructure.
- Stripe handles payment data; we never send your slide content to Stripe.
2. What we store, and for how long
- Your submitted slide image and its results are auto-deleted within 24 hours.
- A short-lived content cache clears within ~14 days.
- For signed-in users we keep only your Google account id and email and your plan and usage counts, to enforce quotas. No slide content is tied to your identity long-term.
3. Google account data
If you sign in with Google, we request the openid,
email, and profile scopes via Google Identity
Services. We use your Google account identifier and email for a single
purpose: to identify your account, determine your plan, and meter your
usage. We do not read, store, or share the contents of your Google
Drive, Gmail, or other Google services beyond what is needed to identify
you.
DeckMorph's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not share it for advertising.
- We do not use your slides to train models.
- Nothing is shared for any third party's own purposes, only the minimum needed to render your slide.
5. Anonymous use
You can use DeckMorph without signing in. For anonymous requests we record a coarse, rate-limited counter keyed to your network address solely to enforce the free daily allowance. No account is created.
6. Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details, Stripe handles payment data directly under its own privacy policy. We retain a billing reference (e.g. a Stripe customer id) to associate your plan with your account. Your slide content is never sent to Stripe.
7. Where we're heading (privacy roadmap)
Being upfront: this is the plan, not a done deal. Right now the slide image goes to Gemini for font detection, and we don't love it. We're working to lean less on public AI services like Gemini and move font detection and image cleanup onto self-hosted, open-source models on our own hardware, so eventually nothing about your slide leaves our infrastructure. Every release we trim what we send. The target is nothing at all.
8. Your rights & data deletion (GDPR)
We operate under the GDPR. You have the right to access your data and the right to erasure, you can ask us to delete your data and we will.
- Delete in-app: use the "Delete my data" action on your Account page once signed in.
- By email: contact support@deckmorph.com for any access or erasure request.
- Revoke access: you can also revoke DeckMorph in your Google Account permissions.
